  • I just thought this might be a little extra motivation....Feel free to join in

I watched my hubby eat a double cheeseburger, fries and a coke, and a fried apple pie and didnt touch any of it, I stuck to the South Beach Diet and have been on track 10 full days now What did you do?
  • Good thread, Christie!

I got out of bed and came to work, in spite of the fact that I'm still a little bit sick (but not sick enough to stay home). I had a healthy, quick breakfast from home instead of getting some "comfort food" on the road as a 'treat' for going in to work when feeling less than 100% perfectly well.

Not weight-related: In a tactful manner, I sent an email to a friend and told him exactly what he was saying that bothered me and why. He appreciated my honesty and addressed each of my concerns.
  • I worked out early in the day instead of saving it for tonite and dreading it.
  • Thats what I am talking about....diet related or not it feels good to just put it out there
  • I went grocery shopping and only bought myself South Beach legal foods
  • I went to the school to eat with my mentee and they had turkey, dressing, potatoes, apple crisp, and wheat rolls and I didnt touch any of it...I had my grilled chicken salad and feel really proud
  • Good job, Christie! I would have found that to be a difficult challenge.

I stuck to my cheese sandwich and roasted veggies for lunch.
  • I was Proud Today...
I went to Temple Services with my DH and they always have a lot of food there afterwards. I had some Perrier with lemon (I had never had this before - it was good) and some slices of pear. NO COOKIES or COFFEE CAKE!! I exercised for 45 minutes at lunch - my favorite - the eliptical. Have a great weekend everyone!

  • You rock Lynn Way to go!!!

I am proud that I am on my 14th day of phase one and have accomplished the goal I had set for myself ( finally) this month...I watched them eat every kind of food that I love and did not give in to any ice cream chips or donuts with my family...I am proud to be me today
  • My father took me out to lunch at Applebee's and I ordered from the WW menu - steak and shrimp skewers at 370 cal and 7 grams of fiber.

PLUS, he asked me twice if i wanted chips and salsa, and I said no. (even though inside i was saying, yes, yes, yes).
  • Great going Star!!!! Its the victories like that one that are gonna get you to goal
  • THanks Christie - you are so kind!
  • Today was a milestone for me...I put on a pair of size 10 Levis .....THEY FIT AGAIN!!!!!!! I have not wore these jeans since I took diet pills about 8 years ago...oh and as soon as I quit them I gained my weight back, so it feels good just to be able to say that I did it not pills and they fit!!!!
  • WOW!! That's so GREAT! What an accomplishment. You should be so proud.

As for me, I was proud that I jog/walked for 50 minutes on Monday -(I was trying to take off the extra pound I gained over the weekend--I got off 0.5# of it). We are starting a new game at our TOPs. It's called "Holiday Bells" and you can earn a large jingle bell if you lose or stay the same, and small jingle bells for keeping a food journal, exercising and contacting a TOPs friend. So...I earned 3 small bells - hopefully I'll get a big bell next week. We are stringing our bells to make holiday ornaments.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
  • I gained a little over the holiday but am back on my plan and have made it through the second day with flying colors
