Hello, everyone!

  • Hope you are all having a better week than I am! A friend (?) brought me a plate of fudge. Now would a friend do that to someone trying to lose weight? She really is a doll. Just doesn't realize what a temptation like that can do to me.
I am planning to do some sensible cooking tomorrow. Make several things that can be frozen and thawed when I need them. My problem, I get rushed and instead of cooking like I should, I grab something that is fast and not so good a choice. Do you get the TOPS News? I made the squash soup today and it was okay. I shared with two of my friends. I used chicken broth instead of vegetable. I made the Spaghetti Squash Primavera one night and took to TOPS for a tasting. Some had never eaten Spaghetti squash before.
This is really a hard time of year for me, as I have always cooked big high fat and high sugar meals. Anyone else have that problem?

I have challenged myself to not have a gain over the holiday's!
Let me hear from you all...
    Mickey

  • Hey Mickey,
You will do fine, I am the same way, this time of year all I can think about is dressing and pie And I love to cook unhealthy foods for the holidays because that is what I was raised up with, I have confidence that you can come through the season unscaved even eating small portions of those things, I am going to do my best to do the same,

I know that I send mixed messages to family/friends quite a bit. Sometimes, I'm "on" and don't want the unhealthy stuff, sometimes I'm sharing vices.

I stopped getting TOPS News, for whatever reason. That's a good idea, to cook a recipe and bring it to TOPS to share!

I like comfort food in the cold weather. Crock*Pot stuff.
