I received my Fat Smash book today and am excited to get started on the plan. Some of the recipes on this forum sound so good.
The one thing I am confused about, is if we can use salt in phase 1? it says "herbs and spices" but in phases 2-4 it says you can use 2 tsp. salt. Salt is my weakness, I don't use a lot just enough to taste. I also notice a couple recipes use vegetable stock. Is this allowed? If so, should it be low sodium/fat free stock.

I continued to use a little salt although you should be careful since salt can cause you to retain. I also used veggie stock and did try to find fat free & low sodium. I found a great organic one that was thicker and very good at my local grocery store. It's called Pacific Natural Foods.
On a different forum there are some recipes supposedly approved by Dr. Ian that use beef and/or chicken broth. I didn't use these during detox since the vegetable broth was fine with me.
