I don't believe I signed a contract on friday as the woman who signed me up was basically only interested in getting my $. Today another woman, who did not introduce herself to me when she brought me back, complained the entire time I was with her that the other did not fill out any of my paperwork!!
Sorry you already have a bad taste in your mouth about the LAWL centers. They are not all like that. My COD has some really good counselors and some that just annoy the heck out of me. If you cannot get out of your contract (I guess only YOU can figure out if you signed one??), I suggest not only talking to the manager of the Center, but getting a schedule of the various counselors and making it a point to meet with each and every counselor they have available. Then, if you really click with one, when you go for your appointments, specifically put that counselors name next to the COD's sign in sheet (of course, I'm assuming your COD is like mine and has a sign in sheet). You will avoid a lot of frustration and you'll do much better in the long run.
LAWL is a healthy program; it's a smart balance of real food. But like any program, you have got to be motivated and want it to work. If your mindset is already negative toward your COD and/or toward LAWL, I don't know that this will work for you. Let us know what happens. and Good Luck.
