1 can (15 oz.) black beans, drained
1 can (15 oz.) chili beans in sauce

  • I made this tonight and it was SOOOO yummy and filling. I used kidney beans and black beans!

    Yum-O!
  • This is good stuff - I added some other beans, left out the peppers, played with the spices, added fire roasted tomatoes and put it all in the crockpot - I served it to one friend that didn't know there wasn't any meat in it and couldn't tell, one friend that knew it was meatless and was ready to bash it (she confessed that to me afterwards - she's a self-professed chili aficionado), and one friend who is a strict vegetarian and was worried that it would taste meaty. All three loved it. That, in my book, is a big success.

I'd post my version but it's awfully close to your version and I don't know if that's chili overkill?
  • Please, post away!!!
  • Loved the Boca Chili!
I cooked the Boca Classic Chili today for dinner. It was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for all the recipes...it makes it so much easier to stay on the detox phase. I am repeating it again after losing 10 pounds!
  • Kudos!!!
My sister is on the Fat Smash Diet. Since I am now retired & my sister works & is busy "chauffeuring" her teenage daughter, I volunteered to be the official Fat Smash Chef for her. Your chili recipe is her absolute FAVORITE! You have to know this about my sis to understand why I'm taking this time to post this message to you....She is THE most picky eater on the face of the earth! She hates EVERYTHING! When I read the Fat Smash Diet, I thought, there is absolutely NO WAY she is going to get through the first day of phase one, let alone any other phase! But I was SO wrong...and all credit is due to this chili, which I made for her on day one!

She is now 2 wks into phase two & 18lbs. lighter, I'm proud to add, & this chili recipe remains a staple in her diet, even though she can now eat meat & chicken! I even make this for my even pickier eating husband who has no idea that he's eating "diet food"! Kudos for coming up with such a healthy treat!
  • that sounds amazing... I'm totally making that tomorrow for me and my hubby. we are doing this plan together!
  • I bought the BOCA chilli bowl, but it was entirely too spicy. I will certainly try just doing it from scratch with the ground boca (gotta find it, didn't know they made that!!!) and flavor it as I like (I'm a punk) ... thanks!
  • This was really really good.... I did not add the beans in chili sauce but I did add everything else, oh and I added kidney beans. I was surprised at the Morningstar meat crumbles...there were pretty good.
  • This recipe was so good. I added some shredded cheddar flavored veggie cheese, and it was perfect. It tasted like I was eating regular chili.
