I've been hearing the commercials too, it seems that every radio station has at least one DJ hawking the stuff.
This ad campaign has been spreading throughout the country. First time I heard of it, they were in Dallas. I believe the DJs who promote the stuff not only get paid to do the commercials but also get a commission or kickback of sorts when their name is mentioned by the purchaser. ("Tell them Sully at KSJO sent you and get 15% off the regular price [whatever that may be, since they never say WHAT the regular price is]).
It's a stroke of genius on the company's part to use DJ's rather than TV personalities. After all, we seldom see them live - we just hear them. And since they say they've lost scads of weight 'while they slept' of course we believe them - after all they give us traffic and weather reports that are true, right?
To top it off, the stuff doesn't work. What 'active' ingredients there are in the product are in such small amounts that they could not possibly do anything to help you lose weight. Muscle Media magazine, in its May 2001 issue (page 44), had an article about the product. I'm going to quote some of it here:

The product claim that you can lose weight in your sleep in and of itself is not such a wild statement if you have the metabolic status of a dieting marathon runner. But then you probably wouldn't need a product like Body Solutions...
The Body Solutions formula you take before bedtime contains several ingredients, including collagen, aloe vera, trace minerals and CLA. When taken as directed the product does not seem to provide an effective dose to really do much in the way of fat loss. In spite of that, it appears that the product marketer, Mark Nutritionals, Inc., has a 3-phase approach to supporting their claims...Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I suppose you have to take all of their products for the program to actually work. But I talked with one of their sales reps, and he stated that the Body SOlutions product alone would allow me to burn body fat and retain lean muscle without lifting a finger! He also said that the collagen protein provided in the product would not only allow me to maintain muscle, but build new muscle. To me, collagen protein is great for building healthy joints, but when building lean muscle, give me whey and casein proteins, thank you very much.
Their website also makes some pretty bold claims about how the company has conducted more research in their first 2 years than almost any nutritional company in the US. According to the website, Gilbert R. Kaats, Ph.D, is the Director and Principal Investigator for their clinical studies. I looked up Dr. Kaats on MEDLINE and found that he had a few citations, but as of this writing, none were for any of the Body Solutions products.
So, in no uncertain terms, I would be very cautious handing out hard-earned money to such a company. It's hard to believe their claims of doing more research than most of the big boys in the nutritional industry, especially when their formulas seem very low in proven ingredients, research is very expensive and studies for the products in question do not appear to be published.
In other words, save your $$ - Body Solutions is just the latest in the endless line of SCAM products.
