Good Morning Lovies

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

My weekend was nice, it was suposed to rain yesterday but it didn't So I finished putting out the fall / halloween decorations. Usually I wait until October 1st or next weekend but I was itchen to get it up since DD was so excited. I don't decorate scary/gory, I just put out alot and I mean alot of pumpkins and throw some purple lights on one of the bushes... its fun. Then when halloween is over I can use the pumpkins for my thanksgiving decorations.

Whats everyone got planned for this week ahead of us?

thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes! I just can't believe that I am 47 years old and soooooo close to 50. dang I feel like I'm still 20.

Leenie - your decorations sound wonderful! would love to see a picture if you can post one!

I had a good weekend. Didn't do much more than I had to. So my house is not clean but oh well - who cares .... besides me ;-) I have another birthday lunch today but plan to eat a ceasar salad if we are going where I think we are going.

The weather is beautiful here today - ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. It was about 65 this morning and low humidity. gosh it's nice.

Hello ladies!
My weekend was pretty good. I spent most of it kind of ill, but I had the boyfriend and some movies to keep me company. Today I have a Dr. appointment to see what the cause of my problem is. I feel kinda down today because I didn't eat much yesterday, since I was sick. I'm worried that I became malnurished and that when I eat today, my body will absorb everything and make me gain some weight back. I guess I'll just have to eat normally again today and see. I was reading in the support forum and saw a post that talked about how eating a low calorie deit will make your body think it is starving. On the Zone I eat 5 meals a day, but they are all pretty low calorie foods since it is mostly veggies and stuff.. so now I am worried that I am on the wrong diet plan, even though I have been losing weight.... I'd say at most I am getting 1300 calories a day... but that's not because Im not eating, it's because the foods you eat on the Zone are salads, soups, chili, sandwitches.... healthier options, you know??..
I guess Im just worrying that Im not getting enough calories.. :/
Anyway..
I got this in an email and thought it was cute, so I'll leave you ladies with this lovely story:

By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime..
An angel appeared and said,
"Why are you spending so much time on this one?"
And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers, have a lap that can hold four children at one time,have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken
heart... and she will do everything with only two hands."
The angel was astounded at the requirements.
"Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model?
That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish."
But I won't," the Lord protested.
"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days."
The angel moved closer and touched the woman.
"But you have made her so soft, Lord."
"She is soft," the Lord agreed,
"but I have also made her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."
"Will she be able to think?", asked the angel.
The Lord replied,
"Not only will she be able to think,
she will be able to reason and negotiate."
The angel then noticed something,
and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
"Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.
I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."
"That's not a leak,"
the Lord corrected,
"that's a tear!"
"What's the tear for?" the angel asked.
The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride."
The angel was impressed.
"You are a genius, Lord.
You thought of everything!
Woman is truly amazing."
And she is!
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN...
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH

I got up at 5 am and walked 2 miles this morning in 30 minutes with Leslie whooooohoooooo

I just can't tell you how relieved (and energized) I feel to have gotten in my exercise this morning.

Cathy-- It's great that you got out for a nice walk!! I hope you have a wonderful day at work..
I went to the Doctor yesterday, and I have a sinus infection, which is also making me sick to my stomach because of the extra stuff my head is producing.. so I got some antibiotics and am feeling pretty good today. I am tired so I don't know if I'll exercize.. maybe a light walk around the block or something..

Hello all!
My sinus infection is getting much better. I feel less clogged and more like myself. The medicine makes me VERY drowsy, so I am sleeping a lot... but sleeping is a good thing when our bodies are in need of it.. Thanks for the well wishes everyone...

Cathy- I'm proud of you for sticking to your walks... Good Job Girlie!!
Leenie- I'm sorry that you are having some pitfalls this week... We're praying for you! :hugs:

HI Cathy and Leens....I had a good weekend ....my brother got married, (third brother this year)....and they are all old enough to know better

Also went to the comedy club...and out with my girlfriend for dinner and a live entertainer/singer.

This week at work has been busy and I have a sore throat ...

MY dd 14 wants to decorate for halloween this year so I am leaving it with her....will only go up the week of Halloween though. I do have a fall wreath I should put up...nice fall colors, leaves etc.

my goodness that's a good size family. I remember now that I'm reading it, bec my dh is the 6th of 7 and now I remember us talking about it before My dh has 5 sisters and 1 brothers. I have 1 sister and 1 brother.

I slept in this morning (til 6) so I didn't get in my exercise but that's ok. I walked 4 days this week which is 4 days more than the week before so I'm focusing on the positive instead of giving myself a hard time.

We are suppose to go to the high school football game tonight and then to our church gym for the high school "5th quarter" that starts after the game. We usually have about 100 high schoolers that hang out, eat pizza, play basketball and volleyball and video games and talk talk talk.

Tomorrow I have to do some major house cleaning. ooooooohhhhhh how I wish I had a maid and could just do what I want to on Saturdays. maybe someday ha

Cathy--- My sinus infection is getting better, thank you for asking... Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday.. It was kind of a hectic day...It's great that you have been so good with your walking, and don't worry about taking a day off.. You deserve it!!
Leenie---How are you doing? I hope everything is doing great!
Liz-- That IS a big family.. I hope you're doing great!!..

As for me.. I had to get my X-rays for my oral surgery that I am getting next month. I have to get my wisdoms removed. I am nervous because I have never been put to sleep, but the doctor said that this would be the most convenient way-- we'll see...
I have been doing well with my diet and exercize, and have lost a total of 10 lbs in two weeks!... I'm worried that this is unhealthy, but I have been eating by the book on the zone (minus one pizza slip-up), and getting in a little exercize.. I am happy with my loss so far, and can't wait to lose more. I hope you all are having as much success...
What is everyone doing this weekend?
I have a party to go to, along with a family dinner tomorrow night...
