Breaking my out of control eating cycle

  • I am going to do a juice fast for 1 or 2 days to stop this vicious cycle I seem to be stuck in. I am going to start Monday morning and try to go for 2 days but I am going to for at least one day. I have my juice cold and ready in the fridge and have my stuff ready to track my food and exercise. I have healthy food ready in my fridge for when I start eating again. I am really hopeful that this will jump-start me back into a healthy way of eating . If you read this wish me luck. If you want to join me, jump in - the more the merrier.

  • I'm so with you, Brave. Fasts are great, they're so cleansing. I'm planning one, but I'm a huge planner so I probably won't make it by Monday-Tuesday.

  • I did well on my fast almost all day. I went from about 9:30 pm Sunday until about 6 pm tonight - Monday. It did what I wanted it to, I was aware of what my body was saying as opposed to my emotions and belly. I went for a 2 mile walk this evening, even though I did not want to go more than 2 blocks. I did eat this evening but I ate 2 of my pizza tortillas thingamys I enjoy for between 250 - 300 calories. I didn't go a full 24 hours but I felt if I did I would lose control and binge, and the way I feel right now I am glad I did eat something because my mind is screaming "you did not eat enough, eat, eat, eat!!" But I know I have enough in my stomach to go on and I am trying hard not to give in, and I think I am strong enough not to. I am kind of proud of myself.
