At 338 pounds, I have no idea where to find jeans that fit that don't look like "mommy jeans".

I would like a wide leg, medium rise, if it's out there. I may be asking for too much.

Any suggestions at all will be greatly appreaciated.

PS: According to the size chart on Lane Bryant, I am a size 32.

I love my Jeans form Lane Bryant - they have all differnt styles - boot cut - low rise whatever - they go through size 28, but they also have talls - they are also running a promotion right now that you can take 20% off your entire order online - enter code 000203647 in the checkout.

I have a friend who swears by fashion bug jeans - they go through size 32, and have all different styles as well - if I think of any others I will let you know - good luck

If you can, I'd go into a Lane Bryant and try them on. Avenue may also be an option if you have one. I went to Lane Bryant the other day and tried on about 10 pairs of jeans. Unfortunately, they only had 2 size 22's. My pairs at home are size 24 and all too big so here is my experience at Lane Bryant.

Size 22 pair 1 - Too tight!
Size 22 pair 2 - Too loose!
Size 20 pair 1 - Way too tight!
size 20 pair 2 - Way too tight!
size 20 pair 3 - Too tight! (ok enough of the 20's)
Size 24 pair 1 - Way too loose!
Size 24 pair 2 - Way too loose!
Size 24 pair 3 - Too tight! (huh ok)

Lane Bryant does go up to size 28 so I'd go into a Lane Bryant and try all the styles that they have in size 28. You may even find that you need a 26 in some of them.

4menow - I meant that you should go into a Lane Bryant and try on some size 28's. I don't believe their sizing, as provided by their website, is correct. Their sizing varies quite a bit. If you went in and later decided to buy at home, you'd at least know what to buy. I believe their size chart puts me at a size 24 but all the size 24s that I tried on in the store were too loose and a size 22 was even too loose.

also try old navy. if you go to the website they have lots of CUTE plus sized stuff. also, try maternity. with the right top no one can see the panel but I LOVE old navy. i order from them seriously once a month. and all shipping is 5.00, and thier returns are SO easy, they even send you the label.

Princess: I don't think Old Navy goes up to 32's. I've looked for myself and never found anything big enough.

I buy mine from LaneBryantCatalog and from Catherines. Lane Bryant Catalog goes up to a 44 in jeans and Catherines goes up to a size 36...although I have bought 38's from the store and not online.

I agree you might want to go to LaneBryant and try the 28's on if they are stretch they may fit.

I've noticed my size right now is all over the place. I was about a 28 before (I didn't own any but was busting out of 26's) but I'm mostly in 20s/22s now. However I also have one pair of 24 1 pair of 26 and one pair of 18s that fit.

Sizing drives me bokers.
