Pizza without cheese...

  • I know alot of vegans don't eat cheese, I was wondering if any one knew the nutrition info on pizza without cheese.
Pizza hut and little Ceasars say they'll do it but no one seems to have the info.
    Thanks

  • Maybe find the amount of calories in the crust? I know pizza hut has a calorie dense crust with all the oil that they put into it. If you are doing pizza sauce and veggies, your main calories will come from the crust. I believe the crust I buy at Trader Joe's (which is pretty low calorie for pizza crust) is about 960 for an entire pizza. That is for about a medium size pizza with a regular crust. Thin crust may be a little less, thick crust will be more, larger pizza will be more, etc.
  • BTW: Pizza hut, Dominos etc all have LARD in the crust so the pizza is not vegan eve without the cheese. I just make my own pizza nadit tastes better than any pizza outlet stuff.

We have a chain here in SoCal called D'amores pizza which is 100% vegetarian pizza (no lard and no sugar in the crust)...where I found the info about other pizza outlets.
  • This might give you an idea. On the bottom of their recipe it gives the nutritional values. http://www.ivu.org/recipes/italian/nocheese-j.html
