I'm curious, how many of you faithfully try to get in the 8 healthy standards on a daily basis? I think I've only managed to do it all a couple of times. So far I'm losing weight at a good rate, but I'm sure it's going to slow down soon. Do you find you lose more when you get all 8 in? Thanks for any insight!
You will be healthier and in teh long run look and feel better as well as lose more consistently.
Use you TP/Dailys for the 8 Great Health Guidelines; APs for additional protein or treats; FPs for a combo of healthy and treats.
BTW unless you are spending a lot of points on 'diet' or '100 cal packs', etc there is no reason you can't get in your guidelines.
Kel, after reading your post earlier this morning I went back and got the booklet that they gave me at my first meeting and reread it cover to cover. You are right, and I was wrong! I have been getting most everything I should be, I just wasn't necessarily checking it off correctly. An example would be that I put olive oil in my marinara sauce, and counted the points, but didn't include it when I was checking those eight items off at the bottom of my journal pages. That type of thing! The only one I didn't realize was part of the healthy 8 was a multi vitamin. Now, I HATE to take any kind of pill, but I can do it knowing that it'll be that vitamin, or a BP pill if I don't follow the plan. The vitamin doesn't sound so bad, huh?!
I too hate taking Vitamins they seem so 'chalky' but I take one every day.
