Hi. I used to post sometimes on the 20's board, but since I am about to 31 next Sunday I guess this is the place for me now...no more denial about being in my 30's.
More about me: I am married to Cliff. We have been together since we met in college in 1993 and we have been married since 2000. We have one son named R.J. and he will be 5 in December. We live in Mississippi. My husband sells cars and will soon be promoted to management in the car business. I am a Special Education teacher for kids in grades K-3 who have developmental delays and learning disabilities, but are still taught in the regular classroom. I am on the run all day going from classroom to classroom to help my students be successful in the regular classroom and to help the regular teacher meet their needs.
I have been working hard to get control of my eating and exercise habits this year. I have lost 22 pounds this year. I had some setbacks this summer because my husband and I were buying/building a house and moving into our house and I was doing a lot of stress eating and eating a lot of fast food, which I know is terrible. But the good news is that I am not back to eating right and trying to walk with my son 3-4 times per week. I don't follow a particular program, but I just try to make healthy choices, eat smaller portions and stay away from junk. I am trying to make myself drink more water, too, but that's probably the hardest thing because I just don't like water...but I know diet cokes are bad choices so I try to limit them and I also like to drink green tea.
Well, I hope to get to know some of you here as we all work towards our goals of losing weight and getting healthy.

I'm 38 (will be 39 in january, sigh) and work as a Registered Nurse with the Mentally Ill which I've been doing for 11 years. I have 3 children, a son who is 15, a daughter who is 8, and another son who is 5. I've been divorced for a few years now (2 officially, apart a year before that) and decided it was time to work on me for awhile and start to like me again!!
