  • I like this thread since it shows various options of things to eat...so, let's see...I'm on Gold Plan

    Monday (sort of an off day due to holiday; I typically eat fresh fruit vs juices)
    1/2 C eggbeaters (1P)
    2T raisins (1F)
    coffee with SF French Vanilla syrup and skim milk and sweet & low

    Subway turkey sandwich w/lite mayo (only ate half the bread) - 1P, 1/2V, 1S, 1Fat
    Diet coke

    LA Lite Peanut Butter bar

    V8 Fusion - 8 oz (2V, 1F)
    4 oz Tart Cherry juice (1F)
    1/2C FF, SF ice cream (1S)

    Lettuce (1/2V)
    Chicken (1P)
    FF Catalina dressing
  • We won't even discuss Sept. 1-3 (Disney, Party, My B-day)

    Mon (9/4) TO

    Knudsen's juice (26 oz w/6 oz water and 8 tsp Benefiber)
    6 oz chicken breast
    2 c romaine lettuce w/Salad Spritzer
    2 LA Lites
    2 glasses of lemon water
    64 oz regular water

    Will be repeating same tomorrow, then will post Wed.
  • Hi Cassi! I've missed you! - I have a question, do you always continue the lemon water when you do TO? I haven't done either since the "LA counselor" posted that anyone over 300# should not do TO. Dh has done it one since the first week but did not do the lemon juice.

  • Pearl - Good to be back. I spent all last night catching up on reading, and will join you guys for the daily chatter this afternoon.

    Actually, I've been starting the day with two mugs of hot lemon water, regardless of TO. I've found it gets my appetite in check. Usually this just happens on work days. On the weekends I start running around too much.

    But... after this last weekend, I need all the detox I can get!
  • Cassi - I'm so proud of you and all the other chicks for getting back on track. I wasn't POP on Sunday (I tried, but gave in to temptation!), but I did enjoy my little cheats. I was good as gold on Monday; even got a good workout in. Even worked out this morning! Can't remember the last time I had two workout days in a row. See y'all over at the September Friends thread.
  • I recalled my old weight watchers breakfast I used to have and it fits LAWL. 1/2 english muffin toasted with SF jelly, cottage cheese on top, sprinkled with cinamon. I also enjoy cottage cheese with splenda ,stirred well ,cinamon and mix with peaches or better yet, mandarine oranges, Ymmm.
  • hereicome - I LOVE mandarin oranges and I've NEVER thought to put them in cottage cheese, but I HAVE to have something in it! DH can eat it plain, but I love it with fruit or even a little salt and pepper. Just not plain!
    Your post really helped me. All this time, I thought the book said canned fruits in WATER only. I've been buying all fresh because I couldn't find "water" pack on hardly anything. Jokes on me. Thanks for your post!

  • Pearl - How do you make your kale? DH has been wanting some "greens" of some type, but all I know is the southern way with bacon.

    Also, try the pan seared tilapia with a tablespoon or so of horseradish sauce and 1 oz RF parmesan cheese (p,1/2d,c). It is SOOOO YUMMY that way!
  • Cassi - I just came BACK OUT HERE to get your recipe for the tilapia and when I did the search, found your post about the kale! What are we? A mutual admiration society??? (I know I am!)
    To be honest - I use a portion of a smoked turkey wing in my greens (I know, I know) BUT, I don't add any salt! I add splenda and lots of black pepper. I usually do 3-5 pounds of greens in a large pot with either the wing tip, drum or other piece. This is a tip I got out of a low fat cookbook several years ago, and the splenda tip was given to me by a lady at church that learned from her grandmother and made the best greens I have ever had. Well, now mine are close! (wink)

  • I definitely enjoy your talapia recipe. Made it 4 times the past 2 weeks and take it leftover to work. Its great reheated in the microwave.

  • Cassi - I tried your tilapia recipe today for brunch and it was excellent! Definately a way for us to eat fish. (we only like it breaded - until now!) It was very mild and the only thing I would change is I would put the garlic on after I cooked the tilapia because it garlic gets bitter during the browning process. (I used granulated garlic which is different from powder or fresh)
    Anyway, THANKYOU!!! we loved it and it will be a staple on our table each week.
