I read an article in a magazine that talked about writing a mantra, so I did. Here is what I came up with: I am healthy, proud and focused.
I am in control of myself, including my eating habits and my emotions.
I will remember how I felt in the past, how I feel today and how I will feel when I reach my goal.
And if I falter, I vow to figure out what happened, learn from it and move ahead.
Because I WILL SUCCEED!
These are great!! I have a HUGE file of quotes that I look at often, but I post my favorites at work in front of me and at home on the fridge and inside of the cabinets. Here are a few I love:
"There are only two choices; make progress or make excuses."
"You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is not an event - it is a habit."
"Keep your mind off what you DON'T want."
"You never find yourself until you face the truth."
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels is my favorite.
I watched Fried Green Tomatoes last weekend and recalled how great just plan old TOWANDA! is for general empowerment!
