points according to weight

  • What I don't get is it seems that the more you weigh the less points you should get and vice versa. Why when you lose weight do you get to eat less???
  • As you lose weight your points are reduced because your body no longer needs that much food. You also have more points the heavier you are because you don't want your body to go into a survival mode where it's sort of hording the calories and not letting you lose weight.

Well, this totally makes sense, I had forgotten about the survival mode thing. Thanks for helping. Also have you had great success with WW?
  • Also remember that when you reach goal you ADD back points so you no longer lose.....
  • wvpumpkin, I started ww exactly three weeks ago, on my own (except for my 3fc family, of course!). I'm not attending meetings, but I have gathered as much info as possible from this and the ww site, and I did purchase the points books for both general food and dining out. They've been a lifesaver all ready! As of today's weigh in, I've lost 16 pounds! I'm sure that is going to slow down drastically, but for now I'm ecstatic!
  • WoW! 16 pounds in 3 weeks! Hope I do that well. Good luck
