Ok not really but here is what happened.

I've never actually seen Whole Wheat Couscous in the store although I've looked. So I decided to try out Amazon.com's new grocery store offering including Whole Wheat Couscous which you buy in bulk meaning 4 containers (and get $10 off my order). They sent me the wrong Couscous! I got the regular instead. So I went to their website to ask for an exchange. They sent me an e-mail stating that they can't accept returns on their grocery items but they will be sending me my Whole Wheat Couscous. So I will have 8 jars of Couscous total. I'm not sure what I will do with my Couscous but my work regularly has food donation collections so they might end up with some regular Couscous.

Can you donate it to a primary school for them to make pictures out of? You know like pasta pictures and lentils split-peas.... Or am I the only one who went to a school like that?

I will say that when you run out of all that couscous, Trader Joes does have the whole wheat kind (and you only have to buy one package at a time!).

Donate the white stuff - the whole wheat is one of my staples, so if you cook it and like it, you'll eat it all the time. Its the fastest side dish/stuffing of all time.

I don't know much about couscous but that sounds like a lot of couscous.

What do you use couscous in?

Couscous is delicious! You don't need to use it in anything, you can eat it with anything you'd eat rice with. Oh it is soooo good. I've never had whole wheat couscous though so I'm looking forward to it.

Have you tried the whole wheat couscous yet? I'm curious about it. I wonder if it would be almost like eating bulgar.

I got it but haven't tried it. I tried Quinoa first which was another item I ordered through amazon. Quinoa is pretty good, small and grainy but good.

Thanks! I love trying new grains. I recently tried millet for the first time and really liked the flavor. I used it in the recipe for mediterranean burgers, and I'm still craving another batch

I'll pick up some whole wheat couscous this weekend. If you find anything special to do with it, please post recipes and ideas

Suzanne, I haven't noticed a bit of difference between the whole wheat and the white. It's just a tiny pasta, a bit coarser ground than you'd find in a pasta noodle but I can't tell the difference. I sub whole wheat in any couscous recipe.. cooks the same, measures the same and tastes the same IMHO

I like couscous, but it's so similar to quinoa that I usually just use quinoa instead. I'd donate some of the couscous to a food shelf.
