Mommies staying FIT-record your exercise and eating here!

  • I wanted to start another thread for pregant and nursing mommies to share their exercise, diet each day, and any progress in that department (Weight gain staying on track for pregnant mommies...and weight losses for nursing mommies, etc.)

  • Just maintaining right now. Basically because I've been spending too much time with my family, and they're too much into eating out at the wrong places and keeping junk on hand. I try to eat healthy when I'm there, but it's hard to eat healthy when there's a Boston creme pie on the counter, a box of sugar cookies, a package of cream puffs, and several containers of ice cream in the freezer. LOL

Anyway for today, I did 2 miles running in the park and 2 miles walking up the hill.

Breakfast: 2 whole wheat pancakes with sugar free syrup and half a banana
Snack: Peanuts in the park (what the squirrels didn't get)
Lunch: Turkey burger on wheat wrap and broccoli
    Snack: Apple
Dinner: Salmon, steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, pineapple
    Snack: Banana and raisins
  • Today my exercise is going to be a 1 mile walk on the treadmill...and some light belly dancing moves. (Trying to take it very easy until my 6 week postpartum visit...and Saber is only 13 days old.)

My calorie goal today is between 2100-2300.
  • I am now past 6 weeks and I am hoping to get time to hop on the elliptical tonight. My DF and I and Genny will probably go for a 5K walk this evening as well. I am getting a gym membership with good childcare facilities on Monday.

    Take care!

  • I'm basically staying with my pre-preggo routine. 30-minute walk 4-5 times a week and 3 days of strength training.

Snack: Nuts in the park again
Lunch: Subway chicken strips wrap with light Lays chips
    Snack: Apple and raisins
Dinner: Tilapia, steamed veggies and honeydew melon
    Snack: Light yogurt
