I was looking in a magazine and....

  • I came across a page advertising the :08 Min Workout. It looks very interesting. There are two DVD's I can choose from or get both from $8.95 each. :08 Min Core Series and :08 Min Pilates. Any of you tried it? what are your feelings about it? How much weight/inches did you lose?
  • I have not tried those, but my cable company has an exercise channel and has a lot of these short workouts. All the ones I have tried (they vary from 7 to 20 minutes each) are very good. The only one I didn't like was one where you walked a mile in your living room--it was just too boring for me. I have done the pilates, abs, lower body and upper body workouts.
  • I have the 8 min abs, don't find it too effective as you need at least 20 mins of exercise to really burn fat or gain muscle. It hurts while doing the exercises, but ab exercises usually do hurt, and I haven't seen that much gain from them.
  • I have the 8 minute DVD's and as long as I do more than one or add it to the end of my walk I've found it very effective. My torso feels stronger - much stronger. I don't know if it would be effective done alone though. Added to othere exercises though was perfect for me!
  • I believe the theory to be that if you are truly sedentary ... any amount of exercise is better. If combined with diet and cardio ... it's probably just fine for starters.
