Wednesday

  • Hi,Just a quick note before I head out to work.I am glad it is a short week.Typing class was rough last night. It is getting harder plus I am so tired by the evening it is hard to concentrate.I am not only one.The man that is taking it too was having a hard time last night. We both gave up around 20 minutes early.Teacher understands.Plus she has had a long day too so she is ready to go too.
I may take an excel class after this. Bill and I are going to take a Greek class if they have one.
My eating is totally out of control.I am above my starting weight now.Very disgusted..But can blame no one but myself
OOps Gotta go or I will be late.Talk to you later
.hope you all have a good day.Thinking of you all
  • Good Day everyone,

Hope all is well with you all. Tonight is my meeting. Not sure what will happen, but I do not think I will be back in leeway.....which means I only have one more to get back in. Have been trying to be good, but the carbohydrate cravings have been horrible and I seem insatiable!!!! I'm doing this, I don't know!!!!! Must be the.....He's a good one to blame!

Eleni, I am sorry to hear that you are over your starting weight. Yes, we ultimately are responsible for what we do..wish I had some magic dust to sprinkle over us. I admire you for hanging in there....and never giving up on yourself. Remember your health........! Sounds like your stress level is up a bit also with the typing and too bad that it is at the same time as your TOPS mtg. Hang in there....if it's any consolation, your typing looks wonderful to me. It may not be done quickly [mine isn't either] but it is done very nicely. Oh, look who's talking, I HATED English classes.

Welcome to Sherry [eeyore]. This is a nice group of ladies. Do need a man to spice things up around here though.

Will let you know how my weigh in goes later tonight. Keep your fingers [and toes] crossed for me.

    TOPS Hugs,
    Summer
  • Hangin in there
Hello to all of you and all the new members. I had the weigh in on Tuesday and after a weeks vacation and not exercising, well, I was not gonna be to pleased with the scale, I felt like I had gained because of the way I was eating, I think if it was not nailed down, I was grabbing it. I was shocked when I found out I only gained 1/4, wow, I looked at the weight recorder and told her I would take that with a smile on my face. We had been on vacation, went to a wedding and no exercise, wow, I guess they say once you get to a weight try to maintain it for a couple of months before you go onto the next set. They say you should lose only ten percent of your body weight at a time and then maintain that for two to three months, it seems like that would make it even longer for us to get this weight off. But the experts say this helps your body adjust and you will have an easier time holding at a certain weight. anway, thought I would let all know. I guess I have been reading lots trying to get my hands on any information I can about nutrition. I dont think you can learn too much. I have been reading so many bad things on all the fad diets that are out there, and it makes you feel good when you are doing it the old fashioned way, slow as a turtle in the wrong gear. so for all of us doing it this way, hang in there, hang strong. and no matter how many times we have to start over, never, ever give up....

Eleni, dont give up, we have all been at a place where we dont want to be, but you have so much going on in your life, give yourself a pat on the back. You are exercising and trying and it will help. I have faith in you and I know you can do it.

I have not been here in a few days so I am just trying to get back in gear.

I hope everyone is doing well and their week is going well after the holiday it is always hard to get back in the groove of things. The hardest thing is when you stop execising or stop the water, to me those are the hardest things to get back in gear again.

I agree with Christie, the more you write down the better you do. It sure is a pain, but it does work. I went and bought a small notebook and I am using that, keeping track of calories, fat and fiber content. Yes, it is a pain, I will admit that, but what I am after is gonna be worth it...

Best of week to all of you.
