Hello Everyone. I thought I would introduce myself.
I am 21 years old and have been fat for fifteen years of it. I've never really committed to trying to loose weight. I have been in a state of perpetual yo-yo for years. I would start exercising and dieting, then I would quit. I actually spent two years doing binge and restrict where I would eat nothing but carrot sticks for three days and then one night eat three MacDonalds extra value meals and raw cookie dough.
Even now, after learning more about diet and nutrition I still have problems, I have tendency to become too involved in a diet, falling back on old restriction habits and then quit when I realize what I'm doing. I also tend to forget to eat if I let myself. I have a short attention span and
Right now though, I'm doing good. I belong to a gym, and am starting Phase 1 of the South Beach diet. I currently weigh 225 lbs, and seeing as I'm short (5'3) there is no way that that is ok. I have decided that this time my diet is going to be about me, for me and I'm going to do it the healthy way. I look forward to meeting new people here and finding the inspiration to loose the needed 85 lbs in both myself and in others.
