How do you USE canola oil....?

  • My dad is from Italy...so it is very natural for me to use extra virgin olive oil for most of my cooking, salad dressings ect.

    So, my question is...when should I use canola oil? DO you use it as a cooking oil? I am assuming they have different tastes, right? As I said, I am a little clueless about other oils. The only other oil I have used is vegetable oil and that was to make cup cakes! Thanks.
  • Canola oil is similar in use to veg oil (but better for you). You can use it like you did with baking or when frying. Olive Oil is a low heat oil. Canola oil is used when you need to turn the heat in your pan up higher.
