New size - woo-hoo!

  • I went shopping with a friend at the Banana Republic outlet and bought a size 12 pair of pants for work. I was looking for a 14, but they were out of that size in the color I wanted, so I tried it on a lark. They are a little snug, but they won't be for long, I hope. The last time I shopped in a Banana Republic store I think I was in junior high. I've gone down 10 sizes since my surgery.

Here's a link to some before and after pictures of me. http://www.beforeandafterchat.com/in...lbum&album=175

BTW - my real name is Charlotte and I post on beforeandafterchat.com under that name.
  • Yay!!!
You should be so proud of yourself. That is wonderful!

    BRAVO!!!!
  • That is so Fantastic. I bet you are very happy. Congratulations.
  • I was just noticing your ticker on the Shar thread and was wondering more about you! Then I read this one, what a coincidence. Thanks for sharing your pix - what a wonderful transformation you've made. Congrats!
  • Congratulations !!!! Ain't life grand ?!?!?! LOL
  • WOWEEEEEEEEE Fantastic
  • Invisigoth, one of the problems that all but disappears with this kind of weight loss is that pesky allergy to cameras. I still hate having my pic taken but I no longer feel like I want to die when I look at them. I actually survive the episode with virtually no 'reaction' at all any more. Except a sense of occasional fascination that its really me.

I think the photo journal is so important. The real pain in your eyes before the surgery is so changed in the transition you've made. I especially love the pic of you standing during your hike. You look strong.
  • Thanks everyone for all of your encouragement and support. This is a really great community. You are right about the allergy to cameras hubs - I'm just about over it. Although I was kind of annoyed by my sister taking a lot of pictures of me this trip. She's threatening to put them up on match.com. All these pictures of me at Lake Tahoe, and I don't think I got one of them with my niece or nephews!
