After looking through your pics I have to kudo your amazing journey. Until you told your age, I would never have guessed it! I'm 41 and you inspire me. It's women like you that challenge me and encourage me to be forever young! I wanted a scooter, but after seeing your bike - boy, would I enjoy that! Mmmmm, how to approach DH? I wouldn't mind seeing him back on a bike, as well. He stopped 16 years ago when our son was a baby due to a couple of close calls with autos.
Thanks!

DH and I both used to ride BK (before kids). After our children were born, I quit riding because I thought it too dangerous that BOTH of us were riding. Anyhoo, after the kids left the nest, DH bought me the red bike (since sold in favor of the newer yellow one). I highly recommend that you take the motorcycle safety course before you get on the road with motorcycle/scooter. It teaches EXCELLENT bike skills and - in some states - successfully passing the course counts as the road test for license endorsement.
The best thing about riding motorcycles (aside from the sexy leather - heh heh) is that
you MUST be 'in the moment' while you are riding and constantly vigilant. If you let your mind wander - you may die.

Literally. Inattention can get you killed. Therefore - motorcycle riding really concentrates your attention. That's also the downside, by the way. Very tiring being constantly on alert for idiots in cars.
