So.. after a long battle with my roommate over the scale, I finally got it back from him last night. The whole conversation made me really sound like a scale addict!
"When am I going to have my scale back? I need it for in the morning. I promise I won't weigh myself tonight. Please please please can I have it? Please. I need to see if I've lost anything. Please." Finally he gave in. I'm a great whiner.
I weighed this morning and in two weeks I lost 2.5lbs! Of course I wish it was more, but I'm taking anything I can get at this point. It wasn't a perfect 2 weeks by any stretch of the imagination so again I'm left wondering what the scale would have said if it would have been. Oh well, the only thing I can control now is what I do today. And today, I'm eating healthy and working out.
Abaker- Wow, you are dedicated to get up so early, but I'm sure it is worth it not to be in the heat! I woke up at 5am this morning too, but only because I got a hang up phone call. grrr. I see people walking around town and I feel so sorry for them. The heat index here makes it feel like it is about 105 degrees. Yuck.
Daisy- Congrats on becoming an official gym member! I know what you mean about not wanting to waste the money. I had to pay to go to my university gym over the summer and so now I feel like everyday I don't use it, I'm just throwing away my hard earned money. Also, I've worked with a trainer a few times and the best advice I got from them was really the best techniques to use. You probably do know a lot more than most!
June- I just took a look at your pictures. You`re so pretty and inspirational!! You really do look great. The science of everything amazes me too. Understanding how my body actually works is starting to make more sense though, which helps me to make better decisions.
Spill- You, your bf, and nike are right. Sometimes you really do have to just do it. Sometimes it is easy to get off the couch (or out of bed) and head to the gym, but most of the time it isn't. It can be frustrating for me when people say they don't work out because they don't feel like it, because I want to be like.."Yea, I don't feel like it either, but I do it anyway." Of course there are those days when I just don't feel like it either.

Hopefully those are getting less and less.
Michelle -
