Are the Riddell and Avia shoe brands any good? Has anyone tried these shoe brands. I am buying some crosstrainers and had New Balance before but was looking at these brands and wasn't sure.

My work shoes are Avia's and I LOVE them! 8 hours on my feet don't kill me like they would in most other shoes. I've walked 3 (fast) miles in them and they held up extremely well. I'm gonna try running in them soon.

That said, the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn was a pair of New Balance. Also the most expensive outside of my cowboy boots.

I tried on a pair of New Balance when I went to get my work shoes, but they were a little more expensive than I could shell out at that minute. I will be getting a pair my next go round at shoes!

I have Avia and I like them just fine. I walked uphill two miles and back down, my feet felt fine after all of it.
