I'm Ready!

  • I am 51, with about 50 pounds to lose. I have been dealing with some stress issues, mainly the loss of my mother about 5 weeks ago. I do know for sure now that I am a stress eater!! Feeling sluggish, but really ready to make some positive changes. Would like tto find a group for the journey.

    I'm sorta new. I started last month but disappeared to deal with a move and a new job. I've got 35 pounds to lose but my first short term goal now that I'm back is to get below 140 lbs. by my 49th birthday, July 25.

    I just read "Body for Life for Women" and am starting the 12 week program. Today is Day one and I'm on track. It's a start...

  • Hi Marsha, and welcome! We have a few thing to relate with... I am a bit older... just turned 59... and lost my Mom last September. I'm sure you will find some positive reinforcement here so feel free to just jump in anywhere!

    I too, am a stress eater, I binge ( badly) when I am feeling extremely stressed. I am currently motivating myself to exercise by just picturing me as a smaller fitter person. It is enoughfor me so far, and the fact that I FEEL better, more toned, help to keep me motivated. I am here for you ( and me too of course!)LOL anyway, keep on keeping on!!! This site is very helpful in many ways. If you have the accountability to post on here, perhaps that can be your motivator! Good luck!
