I've been on the diet for about 2 weeks now...

  • but I've only lost 1lb I think that the recommended portions are too large....usually I cut calories to around 1200, but this plan has them up around 1500. Does anyone modify the plan and make it lower cal? Does it work for you that way?

I know part of it may be because I've been working out so much (cardio 6 days a week plus muscle toning/strength training on three on those days---I can even see ab definition. I have a one pack! haha) ...but i also read on these forums that even gaining a pound of muscle takes a lot of work, so it's doubtful that i could have gained more than a lb or two just in June.

Anyway, what do you guys think? should i try the plan next week eating every three hours, but cut the potions back? (maybe 3-300cal meals and 2-100cal snacks)
  • I had to adjust my calories a bit! I started out at 158 and it took me forever to get to 125! I am back up to 132 now but trying to lose 10 more. I had to tweak everything a bit to fit my body! I would lower the calories a bit. JMO!
  • Add at least an other 100 cal in there you only have 1100. That is definately too low. Remember also that there are times you may to add a few more calories because you may not be getting enough. Your body sometimes tries to hold onto what you give it going into starvation mode if you do not get enough calories. Read tip # 8on this board
  • From the sounds of it, you are really building muscle and you know it weighs more than fat. For every lb of muscle you gain, you lose 5lbs of fat, and vice versa. So, if you feel better and are toning, then I wouldn't worry about the number on the scale. You are gaining muscle tone, and losing fat, and that's what counts
