I just wanted to share my really stupid moment that just happened.

First of all let me say I died my hair last night. I was just going to use the washroom and instead of look forward I was looking in the mirrior at my hair and missed the door and smack my elbow really hard on the metal latch thing (public bathroom). Anyway I stood there for a second and tried not to cry. By the time I got back to desk and sat down, less then 3 mintues later I felt my elbow and now there is a funny bump there that isnt on the second one, and you can already see a bruise coming and it really burns!

I hurt myself good on that bathroom door! Anyway I thought it was a good laugh! haha

COURTNIE That sounds VERY painful! Hopefully when you wake up tomorrow, it won't be too stiff or painful for you to work with it.

It must be the day to have stupid moments because I was walking in my yard and stepped in a small hole in the ground and fell and scratched my knees. My husband was in front of me and I felt like I was five years old again!!!

It is doing much better day but I got a good laugh out of it!

I just wanted to share a stupid thing that happened to me. It was several years ago, but when I read threads like this, it brings it all back and I always get a laugh. See if you can picture this as I tell it.

I live in a small country town and as I was leaving the country store with my then 11 year old daughter, I stepped on the lid of a manhole on the sidewalk. Just as I stepped on the lid it caved in and I dissappeared into the manhole. It was just deep enough so that the top of my head is all you could see. My daughter was at the age that everything embarrassed her. Instead of helping me, she let out a screech and ran to the car, jumped inside and hid so no one could see that she was with me. Fortunately, a man across the street saw everything came over and pulled me out. I had scrapes and was bleeding all down my legs but was okay otherwise. The man and I got a good chuckle out of my daughters response. I'm sure if it would have been video taped, maybe I could of won America's Favorite Home Videos.

haha just remind her of that when she gets older haha

Welcome to my life. I have injured myself on, among other things - doors, doorframes, walls that i've walked into, cabinet doors (got a black eye from that one), holes in the ground, tripping over my own shoes, falling down a flight of stairs in the middle of a busy IKEA, tripping over a chair (I broke a wrist with that one), bedposts, clothes hangers (ha! try to figure out how I did THAT! I cut myself so deeply I barely avoided stitches), and just about everything else you can think of. EVERYONE mocks me for this. Its sad.

A little thought to make us klutzy ones feel a little better: When I was little, and i'd do something klutzy, my grandfather would say to me "Well, we both know thats because you're so smart that your brain moves faster than your feet".

OMG! That's the last time I step on a manhole cover.

That is an AWESOME one I will never forgot that!!! hahaha

I just wanted to share something I just did at lunch today....I went to lunch with five co-workers and the sign at the restaurant said "AYCE FISH"...so I asked, "has anyone tried this kind of fish? I haven't ever heard of it, I've had cod, haddock, etc, but where is this from?" Then the waitress says...it's All You Can Eat Fish.... was my face red!

I think we all can relate to being klutzy or as I say "Having a blonde moment" but then I am blonde so...But lord knows I have had my share of walking into walls, tripping on the hose outside, falling up stairs, yes, I did say up the stairs, lol. I even once had a nail in my mouth and was trying to take another out with the hammer while standing between the couch and wall, wasn't enough space and I pulled the hammer back and hit myself in the mouth right where the nail was in my mouth...talk about hurt, OUCH! and the list goes on...I just laugh at myself though...that way it doesn't make me feel too dingy.

Mandalinn I love what your grandfather would say to you, so sweet.

I am another klutzy one and I have passed in on to my almost 19 year old daughter--she is worse than I am!!! Luckily we both can laugh about it.

I once nearly broke my finger while turning a doorknob. Yep, a doorknob. No idea how I managed it, all I know is that I heard a loud crack followed immediately by stabbing pain in my finger. I couldn't use it for a week.

I can't believe that I am gonna admit this to anyone but I figured WTH.
I was at a grocery store and it was raining very hard. So me not wanting to get soaked, took of my flip flops and decided I was gonna run to the car. While my DD stood with the cart under something to wait for me.
I didn't think about all the oil and other things that cars leak and how slick it would be to run in and I fell forward and landed on my face.
Not wanting to be seen laying there (everyone saw me) I jumped up as fast as I fell.
When I pulled the car up to my daughter she was laughing so hard that I thought for sure she was going to wet herself. She said that I looked like those blow up punching bags she had when she was little. No matter how hard she hit it, it always came right back up quickly.
