Hi gang,

I bought a different car today. After I saw that video of the woman wrecking her SUV last week, mine sorta lost its appeal. I knew they were at higher risk of rollover but I never thought it was that easy. So today I got a nice, safe, low to the ground Volvo. I think my youngest daughter was less than impressed but, oh well. My days of pulling horse trailers have passed for the time being so I don't really need anything to pull with. I've got a little old mazda pick-up for hauling junk, mulch, etc.

Hi guys. My life has been crazy. Then I was sick.
I am doctoring a bad back and my chiropractor doctor son is out of town.

I want to WELCOME all the newcomers. I don't remember all the names and I don't really have time to go look them all up. Just know we are glad you have joined us.

I went to WW tonight. I had good news and bad. I had lost more weight even during Memorial weekend last week ... but this weekend with company I caved on several items. I ended up with a 4 lb loss and that is good.. but I had lost more before our company.
My plan was to go pig out one last time after I weighed in and start again tomorrow .... but I DIDN'T !!!! I ate very sane and healthy and I even exercised when I didn't want to. I am still feeling kind of under the weather.

Okay... hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
I am off to bed. Not quite before midnight... but almost.

Hi ladies,

Not much new. I think its Tuesday. Boy am I going to be hurting next week when I have to go back to work. I have not been sleeping late so that won't be such a shock. However, I will miss my little afternoon naps.

The buyers are supposed to close at 4 pm today. I'm not holding my breath.

This move has not brought me a good weight loss like it has in the past. Age? Too much junk food? Pigging out hoping that life is different when we move? Stupid thinking? I started my two weeks off thinking that I was going Phase 1 of SBD and getting a jump start. I did okay for a day or two but too much bread and convenice foods. DH doesn't listen and I don't stand firm on what I'm doing. I say SBD and he says pasta and I say okay. I want to accuse him of sabotage but I think its really me that is the sabotage. Finding that resolve to commit - hmm, must be time to get a journal out and start working through it.

BJF - Fun, a new car (even if its used, its new to you)!

2Cute - Even more fun, a chiropracter son! Four pounds is good but I know your disappointment. Good job on not doing that pigout. That was my tactic when I first joined WW and I will say that it did help for those initial cravings and worked well. Soon I didn't even bother. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Karen - Welcome to the group! How true about that "cake" school of weight management. Been there! I loved your first post. Thanks for sharing about you. Sounds like you are following a very sensible plan and making small changes at once.

Sue - YES, I am so ready for this to be over. That is cool that your daughter went to the prom and had a good time. At least she went and will not regret that later in life.

2cute, that's downright handy, having a chiropractor son. I'm waiting for my daughter to get out of vet school before getting anymore horses. I haven't recovered from my last $1300 vet bill.

Terri, moving has never brought on weight loss for me. For me it's always a time of lost sleep and lack of sleep usually equals lack of willpower in my case. I've got my fingers crossed for you on the buyers closing. BJ

Okay Darn it! I posted! I posted a nice, long post! I did replies and everything! AND I looked at it after I posted it! But now it's gone! This is the second time in a week that this has happened.

Hey just wanted to check in...just another day on the program i'm on ..did myexercise..drank the liquid requirement..eating my planned food...I guess this is what it is to be not struggling.......not my old typical self .....

it's actually an accomplishment ..so i'll give myself a pat on the back
or rather do a little happy dance...

it's days like this that I want to weigh myself..but I'm waiting till friday so I don't go thru any inner turmoil if it's not showing a loss... I KNOW I'm on the right track...

well I'm back, no more lying in the sun for me for a while

I'm struggling to catch up on the threads I've missed so I'm going to post today while I have a chance then I'll play catch up later, I do hope you are all well though.

We had a fab holiday, the weather was perfect, the accomodation great and we met some lovely friendly people. It was so good to totally relax and spend time with my hubby and the kids.
I failed in my plan to stick to my diet when we were away though the Greek habit of bringing warm freshly baked bread to the table as soon you order food was just too much for my resolve. I've put on 5lbs and it's been hard getting back into healthy eating mode now that we're back, it's got to be done though.

Good job moon! I try to only weigh weekly, also, but there are two schools of thought. There's a post somewhere that talks about it.

I've had a very good day so far, but this time is usually my downfall. I made several healthy meals tonight, so I hope I can hang in there. I've had a great week so far...

Lesley: What a wonderful vacation you must have had - and what a beautiful family! You too! You are just lovely! I'm glad you had a good time. Don't worry about those pounds. What goes on fast usually comes back off the same way. It is really difficult to get back on track though, after taking it easy for a while. We'll see how I do when I get back.

My own vacation is only 2 DAYS AWAY! But all in all, I'd rather be in Greece!

Moodgoddess: Every accomplishment is a reason to dance!

Well all, I'm almost done with my sewing! I have a dress to hem and done! Then we have to shop, pack, and go! I'm very ready to be there, set up camp, and promptly QUIT WORKING! Aren't vacations supposed to be relaxing??? Yesterday we discovered that DH has job interviews smack dab in the middle of the week too! So he gets to drive home for two days in the middle of our vacation (about 3 1/2 hours each way) for his interviews and while he's at it he may as well do his on-line class while he's home. I think the Lilies War is cursed. We don't seem to be able to get a whole week together as a family for this darn event no matter how hard we try!

Well, was just advised someone who never bothered to call or let us know in any way has arrived to hold their hearing in person! So I guess I better get ready to dispense my own wise and compassionate brand of justice. Later ladies!

Bridget - I would love a low-to-the-ground Volvo - well, actually, I would love a low-to-the-ground mini-Cooper, but I don't think there are any used ones available yet! Right now, I drive a Ford Ranger, and since it only has 80000 on it, I'm planning on driving it for many years yet. It's my to-work-and-back-again-and-oh,yeah-take-the-truck-if-you-need-compost vehicle.

2cute - well, now I see why you LOVE your chiropractor. How handy to have one in the family.

Lesley - I said I was jealous of Corfu before you left, now I'm jealous of Corfu and your lovely family. Looks like you all had a wonderful time, and the resort looks to die for. Glad you're back. Looking forward to your trip report.

Lilion - I also copy and save before I post. It's something to do with server timing, I think, but it's always the long ones that get munged . If I don't "talk" to you before your vacation, have a wonderful time. Any chance SCA will be in Greece?

Today is DH's last day at his old job. He has a second interview lined up for Saturday. I think I hope he gets it - he's getting hostile to my suggestions about painting the back house, so it might be better for our marriage if we can afford to pay someone to paint it, and it really needs it. He's the sort of man who'll wait until it rots and falls down, and then gets mad that the value of the property goes down.
And tomorrow is DD's Graduation and Awards ceremony. She'll be getting some things - I don't know how high she'll place, but I know she submitted some of her anime, so I hope it does well.

Well, the release didn't go out today. There are just these couple of changes they are making ....

Well, between working late last night, and the ceremony tomorrow, I'm going to miss both my water aerobics classes this week. Tonight, after my chiropractor (who I like, but don't love) hopefully I'll get on the recumbent bike out in the back house, and burn a few calories.
