Buying WW products

  • has anyone tried any of the WW products?.. how did you like them?
And can you buy them at a meeting if you don't go to the meetings ? (i do it at home)
  • i dont see why not.....

    i buy the ww bread
  • I've tried the chocolate smoothie (protein shake) and it is wonderful. But one thing is you have to like splenda/equal because it does have that diet sugar taste. I thought it tasted great but DH thought it tasted fake - he drinks regular soda and hates diet. That is all I have tried but I have plans to try other things. I have heard good things about the different bars - 1pt and 2 pt.

I believe you can go to the meeting and buy the items they sell even if you aren't a member - there aren't special prices for the items and I believe I read somewhere else that anyone can come in and buy.
  • Good morning -
This is my 6th week on WW, I am also doing it from home as there are no WW facilities within a 1000km. My local grocery store sells the following items.

I really like the WW bread. At first it was hard to get used to because the slices are slim and it doesn't feel as substantial - but they toast nicely and are also good for an after work snack (low point). I load them up with thick slices of tomatoe - yum.

I also enjoy the WW chocolates - coconut and pecan. They are wonderful bursts of taste packaged in 1 pt. Can really satisfy a sweet craving. I think there is only 10 in a bag so even if we go a little 'overboard' we are limited

Enjoy, let me know what you think.

  • Around here, different stores stock different WW items. Also, the WW meetings have different items. I have only found the choc. bars, breakfast bars and like that at the meetings. A few issues back, WW magazine had an ad that told what items were sold where. I wonder if you could find the ad on their web site? I don't know. Also, I know if I ask, my local store will try to stock things, if asked about them. Maybe your local store would try to get a few things if you asked?
By the way, I LOVE the choc. mint bar, I can only get it at the meetings. Reminds me of the girl scout mint cookies!!! YUMMY!
  • yes...in answer to your question, anyone can walk into a ww office/meeting place and just buy their products. You don't have to be member. I always find the newest issue of ww magazine there BEFORE it hits the grocery stores also. In fact......Santa even shopped there and put some protein shakes and 2pt bars in my Christmas stocking!!!

In my grocery stores, I have tried the ww's english muffins.....(love these!!!) ww's bagels...chocolate cake and carrot cakes. Chocolate cake was a little dry but the carrot cake one is TO DIE FOR!!!
  • I buy the WW bread all the time - it's the only bread I eat now. (I wish they made rolls!!) I also like their english muffins. I also eat the SmartOnes/WW TV dinners - along with Lean Cuisine (which has WW points on it also) and Healthy Choice. They are expensive, so I stock up when one of those brands is on sale.

I have tried the WW Whitman's chocolates, WW chocolate cakes, SmartOnes/WW chocolate fudge cake that is frozen then you thaw it (which was good). I wasn't impressed with the WW chocolates or the regular cake though.

Honestly though, I try not to buy any of the WW sweets because, even though they are WW, I will gobble them up instead of eating healthy alternatives.
  • I buy the ww bread, bagels and muffins in my regular teeny tiny small town grocery. The bread is more resonabley priced than other breads with the same points value. The bagels are similarly priced to regular bagels maybe a bit more than regular bagels, but regular has 6 points and these have 2 or 3. That is worth the price to me.

I didn't like the WW cakes from the store. Some people do. Thier candy is good. But from what I can tell it's regular whitman's candy packaged for WW in individual servings. Most Whitman's chocolates are a point each. But as some else pointed out it does limit your portions even if you eat all 10 But I don't buy it. I'd rather have a good dark choclate bar for 5 points that cost 99 cents, instead of $3. B/c I am one to eat the WHOLE bag!!!

They aren't WW, but I do enjoy 100 calorie packs. They aren't cost effective. And I only buy them when they are on a really good sale. Last summer I got them for $1 a box. I bought like 20 boxes. SO I guess it's up to you what you feel are the products you want to spend your money on.

I do not buy thier products from the meeting. For half the price of a "Just Two points bar" offered at the meeting I can buy Kudos (the snickers and m and m varieties) and they are two points each. I am not exactly sure how the smoothies compare, but slim fast and carnation instant breakfast are about the same thing for very similar points if I remember correctly, only those are much cheaper.

The WW products tend to run a bit more in cost in our area than they do in areas that are larger. I am in a rural area that is part of a smaller WW franchise that is not under the same pricing as WW International. SO else where they may be cost effective, but here they aren't.

I am not sure if you can buy stuff at teh meeting and not be a member. I have just never really found them to be overly cost effective.
  • You can buy WW foods at the grocery store!
Hi! WW has muffins, cakes, and ice cream that are alll available at the grocery store or Wal-Mart SuperCenters. Great 1-3 pt. snack stuff, and they taste good, too!
