Not hungry?!

  • It's after 3pm and all I've had to eat is 1/4 of a honeydew melon and I had to force that down... I'm just not hungry! It's been a while since this happened LOL... what's the thing to do? I'm afraid of putting my body is "starvation mode" and having it hang on to fat because I'm not eating... but the other half of me thinks I should just listen to my body and not eat if I'm not hungry. HMMM what do I do?
  • I would say "woooooooooohoooooooooo!" LOL

I seem to be hungry allllllllllll the time regardless of how much/when i eat, etc.. I wouldn't be too concerned if it's only a day or two that you're feeling like that.
  • Hummmm. I don't know if this is the "correct" advice, but I try to follow the "listen to your body" theory.
  • does it happen all the time, or is this a one off event?

if this happens regularly, try to eat something at regular intervals throughout the day. if you physically can't, there may be something wrong.

don't be too concerned but do listen to your body, but be mindful. monitor what you are eating and then reassess it.

go and do some serious exercise. that always gets my tummy rumbling
  • oops, can't help you have yet to encountered this problem heheheh
  • Ok, good to know that one day won't throw me off . Spot on with the exercising LOL I went for a run and came back STARVING. I ate some kashi cereal and a big bowl of vegi soup... yay
  • I go with it when it happens to me. And since I've been paying more attention to what my body wants rather than just shoving the nearest piece of food in my mouth, I've noticed that my hunger goes in a cycle through the month - I'm not hungry at all for the week before my TOM, and then I'm starving during that week, and then I lose my appetite again. I just go with it, and it seems to work fine.
  • I think I'm exactly the same way!! TOM is due in a few days and my hunger has been diminishing over the last few... but I know when he gets here I'm going to be ravenous! I think, I'm only noticing it now because I'm paying so much attention to what I'm eating, when I'm eating, etc!
