Progress Photos

  • Hey everyone,
So when i decided to start eating better and exercising at the beginning of the year i took a "before photo" and have decided to take a progress photo after each 10 lbs i loose. This morning was a VERY exciting morning for me because i was able to take my 20 lb. photo . Man is this ever inspiring, i would recomend keeping progress photos to anyone who is able to. I'm not posting mine because i'm wearing my underwear and would be horrified for anyone to see them but they sure make me realize how worth it all of this is, YEA!
Sorry to go on and on, i'm just so very excited about hitting the 20lb mark!
  • That's great!!!! Congrads!!!! That's a great accomplishment. Keep up the great work!
  • I did that as well...and it WAS really motivating.

I found it hard to see changes in the mirror sometimes but when I had photos up side by side at different stages along the way the differences were quite clear and made it just that much easier to keep plugging away.

I used to make a "progress pic" every month and record it along with weight and measurements...sometimes the weight didnt drop much but the measurements sure did! And the first time I actually SAW definition in my stomach...oh boy...the happy dance just did not stop :P

Congratulations on doing such a wonderful job and keep up the awesome work!

  • Photos are the only way that one can even attempt at being unbiased and it has really helped force me to recognize changes that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

    Congrats!!!!!!!
  • WTG!! That's awesome!! Keep up the great work!
  • Excellent work denice! So happy for you!

I agree that before and after pics are much more motivating that just watching the scale. I took some pics last month, however I am fully clothed and really you can't see what is going on underneath.

I think this weekend I might get the boyfriend to take a pic of me in a bikini i have in the back drawer
  • I wish I would of done that. I do have just regular pictures though.
  • I never thought of progress pics before. I always thought the scales would be motivating enough! But i think i'll give it a try.

Denise - congrats on losing 20lbs!
