My high school prom dress........

  • Hey friends...

    I hope everyone is doing well!! I had my WW weigh in today and I was down two more pounds......bringing me to 166. I really increased my water intake this week and also tried eating more of my activity and flex points....I think that might have made a difference. I've been working out really hard with The Firm and I think my body needed more food....seriously..lol. I know I have a little ways to go.....but I am starting to feel like I may actually get to goal someday.

    We have a four day music festival vacation coming up on June 21st or so...I'm hoping to be in the 150's by then....(kind of my little mini-goal I guess).

    Anyways..oh yeah... I was digging thru my closet this morning and I found my high school prom dress from 1994. Out of curiosity...I thought I would try it on. I didn't think I would be able to get the thing on because I remember weighing about 145 to 148 for prom. (Every gal knows what they weighed on prom night..right? LOL). Anyways..I put the thing on.....and it slid right on and zipped....I couldn't believe it. I weigh about 20 pounds more now than I did then..but the thing fit. I credit it all to The Firm....I have been building muscle like crazy and I think it's really helping me to drop the inches.

    Anyways....I'm going to put it on again later for my DH when he comes home...he'll be shocked..lol. I might have him snap a quick pic and then I'll add it to my website when I get a chance. I"m sure my bare arms will look hideous....they still need a lot of work....but i think it will be a neat pic for my site.

  • Oh, Olivia..that WONDERFUL!!!!!!

    I remember that same feeling earlier this year when I wore my wedding dress as my halloween costume..it felt so great to fit into it and have it zip better than it did on my wedding day!!!!

  • Wow, what a great NSV!! That really shows the power of working out. What a great feeling that must have been to slide right into that dress. Did it make you want to find a formal occasion where you can wear your dress?

    I discovered last week that when I ate more, I ran faster and longer. Now, I was on vacation so I wasn't eating well and probably gained weight, but I was surprised at how much better I did at running. Just shows how much our body needs that fuel, and if I combined healthy eating with eating enough, I will hopefully lose these remaining pounds. Thanks for reinforcing my new theory.
