KEISHA aka Syncere!! Personally, I think you’ve come to The Right Place! We’ve been where you are, and we understand! If you’ve checked a few tickers, you know we’re at different points in our journeys but we’re all trying to go in the same direction, together. I’m glad you’re here! As far as suggestions, there are a lot of different successful plans being used here – I’ve personally been successful with SB – basically, eliminating starches (pasta, bread, potatoes) and sugars, and choosing good fats (Olives) over bad ones (anything fried.) I was amazed to learn that my cravings disappeared once I’d been off those poisons for a while. Currently I’m facing a few emotional challenges, but I’m getting back on the right horse myself these days. I understand the struggle – you just need to be in the right “place” to start your own journey. No one can do it for another person. I totally agree with you – support is really crucial, and you can surely count on finding it here!
ANNIE! I was so excited when I read your -
14.5 inch post that I started to call you right away… then I realized that it was 7:30 in the morning and you might not appreciate the call quite so much at that hour. I am THRILLED for you! What great achievement, and in LESS than a month! AWESOME!
ZELMA, I’m so glad I could give you a chuckle! You’re right – Simon is so cute sometimes I just have to scoop him up and schmooze him (OK JULEE – Is “schmooze” another one of those words I should be careful how I use?

) Even when he’s doing his worst as “Destructo Pup” and I’m threatening him with a whoopin’ (which he’ll NEVER get) I can just hardly stand how cute he is. *** Your triple B day sounds like the greatest thing ever! What an inspired idea. I’m not surprised the kids love it and it’s wonderful to encourage them to read so much!!

“In fact, the last time I was so surprised that it was no problem at all, I wanted to go out and in and out and in and then yell to the other passengers "hey -- look at me!! I can pee in the airplane!! WHo knew??"
MEL -
This tore me up!
XENA – The weekend is over and here we are, getting back on track again. I hope THIS week is better for you food & ex wise. I’ve been struggling myself but I think I’m doing better now and hope you are too!! I’m sorry that you’re suffering ffrom the blues. Ay you find a little dash of RED to add to your day, because purple is a much nicer color! OK, now, just like Christmas time…

Step AWAY

from the cookies (ice cream, tacos, “your-weakness-here”)
AMMI – Eagle Pass is a good sized little town on the Mexican border – a small city actually population about 38,000 I think. It has actually restaurants, car dealerships, etc., whereas most of the border towns you would miss them if you sneezed, and you’d have a hard time finding their Coke machine… if they had one. It’s a nice place to visit, but you wouldn’t wanna live there unless you really like pricker plants and 106 degree heat, as well as Mexican food. The night sky in that part of the country is something awesome to behold when you get a ways out of town.
MISTI, I still love that coast to coast walking idea… I have GOT to get with the program!!!
CYN! Fantastic job on getting off the Dr. Pepper! I know that that’s the sort of habit that’s hard to break away from, but makes a huge difference in your health, so GOOD for you! Is it like quitting smoking, too, where you save a bunch of money by quitting, too? CONgrats on down another pound!
LORI – Oh, phooey! (I think I’m safe on that one – not a Yiddish word.) I still haven’t gotten to a mail box with that last card or two I wrote her. I don’t think it will make it there from the West Coast in time. IF you want to pm me with another address I can still send her cards while I’m on the road (I have a collection of them that you wouldn’t believe) but if you aren’t comfortable doing that I TOTALLY understand and won’t bother you about it again.
Flady – Sounds like you’re doing GREAT! With those “baby steps.” That’s what makes the whole new way of life really work in the long run. I’ve been off-plan in the big ways for a while, but haven’t re-gained the weight, and I think what’s made a difference has been a combination of little habits.
JULEE – I’m SO glad for you that you’re efforts are truly paying off and it was just a difference in scales that gave you grief. Cool on your sermon going so well, too. It has to be stressful to speak in front of so many people at such an important event.
MARIA – Your dance class sounds absolutely wonderful! I’m so jealous! I’d love to go to something like that, it sounds like so much fun, especially with friends showing up, too! I hope you had a wonderful time hiking and met a few friends you never knew before!
I’ll have to finish this later, cuz it’s potty the dogs & lunch time… and I still have a thread or two to finish catching up on, but just like

Arnold… Ah’ll be bock! LOL
