I'm not a liar!

  • Lately I have been a bit conflicted. I weigh in at my gym and I am weighing in at 5 lbs above my ticker weight. I have been really down about it, but reluctant to change my ticker.

Anyways, I went to the doctors this week. I had to have a nurse assessment as I am a new patient, and I hopped on her freshly callibrated scales (the nurse is quite obsessed about making sure they're accurate and has them callibrated monthly).

I am indeed bang on my ticker weight of 196lbs!!!! So I am not a liar, not that anyone would have been that stressed about it even if I was, but it's nice to know I am the weight I thought I was!!!!
  • Isn't that a great feeling! Congrats!

The scale at my gym is a balance beam scale, and it certainly looks like it should be accurate. But after using it a couple of times, I"m certain I'd get a more accurate measure by having one of the stronger guys at the gym lift me and tell me what I weigh.
  • I'd be quite happy to be lifted by one of the strong guys at my gym

I have become an incredible flirt lately
  • One day I was in the locker room of my gym (where the scales are) and I saw a little boy (who was less than 2) who was waiting for his mom to get changed. He was bouncing up and down on the scale trying to get the balance bar to clack up and down... I think that's when I realized that maybe these scales are the most well-treated, accurate scales.

Way to go on that confirmation! Woo!
  • That must feel great Kylie! Excellent!

  • That is a wonderful feeling! Congratulations. I bet you felt so good! If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is! Way to go!
  • I am very glad for you. I wish we weren't so tormented by the scale. I only pay any attention to my home scale and use it as a guide. Otherwise I'd get too many conflicting reports.
  • That is great news.
