Hi! I'm a newbie!

    I'm happy to be here, and I hope I can get some good support & advice & offer some of my own as well!

  • Thanks you all! - I'm not sure "congrats" are in order tho... I have lost/gained/lost 30-40 pounds in my adult life, at least 5 times *gulp!* ... I was 138 last September, now I'm 158... but I was 178 a couple years ago. I would like to lose the weight and KEEP it off.... keeping it off seems to be my problem.

    Anyway, I hope to become a regular poster here & hopefully get some good advice/support & offer some of my own.

    As for what I am "doing"... well, I've learned by trial & error that I cannot give up my favorite foods. So I've learned portion control. I've also learned that no matter what I eat or don't eat or how much I eat or don't eat, if I cannot or do not exercise, I will be fat.

    I have also learned that the more fresh fruit I eat, the less I crave candy, cookies, cakes, sodas, etc. And the more fresh veggies I eat, the more I like them.

    That's what I've learned so far! Hoping to learn how to KEEP the weight off... which is seemingly my biggest obstacle.
