Howdy Ya'll!

  • I have to admit I have been a 3Chicks forum stalker for a few days reading what people have posted and gaining some great insight and encouragement from the postings! So I decided it was time to introduce myself as a the newbie that I am and come out of stalker/reader only mode. I want to thank ya'll fo rbeing supportive and honest with each other- it's really nice to see that I am not the only one out there dealing with the weight struggle! Here is to getting to know many great buddies out there!
To tell you alittle about myself- I am turning 30 in Nov (got a little freaked out about that and decided it was time to get back in shape since i am finally out of school and getting my life on a a good path. I "started" like gangbusters in jan and did great thru march and then april I got the flu and did nothing so now I am healthy and back in the gym and trying to watch what i eat. It seems everyone aroundme in my circle is already at their "ideal" weight - they are all super runners and athletes so thats another motivation- but it's also isolating. I am hoping a few buddies will help with that as well. Ok enough rambling from me! Can't wait to meet ya'll!
  • Hello back! Question- it says you're from the Big Apple but your greeting was southern, what gives?
  • I'm from CA, and I say "Ya'll" all the time. I blame it on my genes - my dad is from Arkansas.

I got into a big debate over the difference between "Ya'll" and "All Ya'll" - apparently it varies by state. Crazy, no?

    Welcome, crownshape!!
  • Crazy yes! What about (unsure of spelling) "you-ens" and the more plural "you-ens-zess"
  • Hello and welcome! Glad you came out of lurksville!!
  • I am a transplant and southern girl at heart and sometimes it over takes my body especially when i am tired or just gotten off the phone with my mom or any family.
