Welcome to the boards. The book has a section on certain brands that are acceptable on the plan. She recommends the Spa line of lean Cuisines, not all of them. Do check that section out before you buy any prepared meals. bread isn't a problem on Sonoma as it isn't a low carb plan, but you do need to be mindful of the types of graines you eat. Whole grains such as bulgur wheat, barley, quinoa, brown rice, whole wheat pasta etc are what is recommended.
Dessert on Sonoma, once you get past Wave 1 is primarily fruit. I eat an occasional piece of dark chocolate or micro wave popcorn. Ice cream, cookies, pudding.. etc are very rare occurances these days. If you can find a premade meal with fruit, that would be fine but chances are the stuff you'd get premade would have a lot of sugar.

Hi Cyl,
Welcome and hope you like this way of eating as much as we do!
Going without fruit for 10 days is a little rough, but one of the purposes of wave 1 is to eliminate sugar cravings. If you don't have problems with sugar cravings, you may be able to start with wave 2. But I needed wave 1 to get rid of the cravings. If you can, try to eliminate all artificial sweeteners while on wave 1, too. I think she mentions that in the book and I read somewhere that artificial sweeteners trigger cravings in some people.
I echo LindaT that you should check the book because she lists frozen/prepared foods that are Sonoma-friendly. On occasion I eat Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine meals and Amy's Organics (have had only three frozen meals since starting Sonoma). Bread, pasta, rice not off-limits but whole grain versions are preferred. Luckily, there are a lot of good whole grain products available that taste really good too!
