Most people wouldnt' be tickled to death over a 1 pound loss but I am. I had hernia's repaired last Wednesday with Lysis of Adhesions in 10 places. I was so depressed that this surgery would be a major set-back for me. When I weighed this morning, I was thrilled with a 1 lb. loss. I had assumed that until I could get back to exercising that my weight would stay the same or possibly show a gain. I am staying on program with my eating, but it will be a few weeks before I can get back to my treadmill routine. I'm still very sore and am not going to jeopardize my health to try to push myself too quickly.
Congratulations!! While recovering from surgery most people tend to gain weight, no matter what type of surgery! (At least everyone I know who watched their weight after surgery showed a gain!) So that is a great achievement!!
Hey, it's good to see you are doing well! 1 pound is nothing to sniff at. Every large loss happens in steps.
I haven't been around much because of a car accident. I lost some because I couldn't stomach anything while on pain meds, but I'm worried that I'll lose my progress since I can't exercise now. For now, I'll be happy with myself if I can maintain my weight.
Thanks everyone. Sorry to hear about your car wreck, Kittymuse. I feel the same way as you, would be happy to just maintain my weight loss until I can get recovered. I am trying to still eat right and admit that sometimes I don't have much appetite. I try to eat because I know my body needs proper nutrition to heal. Wishing the best to you.
