Can I join you ladies?

  • Hi, I am Jamie. I am 28 years old and mommy to two wonderful little boys. I am also on a weight loss journey. I am currently 180 pounds and trying to get back to my pre children weight of 130 pounds. I was in a bad car accident on February 27th of this year, so I am restricted to just dieting for now, I cannot exercise yet. I suffered a broken pelvic bone, and my orthopaedic doc says no exercise, and not even too much walking for at least a few more months. So for now I am just cutting back on suger, and fat intakes. I am not following any strict diet plans, just trying to reduce. I also quit smoking the day of the accident, so I am climbing two mountains at once, LOL. but I am doing good with the smoking, yesterday was 8 weeks without a cig. and yesterday also started day one of my diet.
  • I'm so sorry to hear that you were in a car accident bit it's great that you aren't using it as an excuse to not eat well. Best of luck!
  • Welcome Jamie! Sorry to hear about your accident Congrats on quitting smoking, i know how hard that is! Good luck with your weightloss!
  • This forum has been so valuable to me in my weight loss journey so far. I hope you find it just as helpful.
  • Thanks guys. So far the smoking thing hasn't been too hard. I was in the hospital for 3 days after my accident, and they say that the first 3 days are the hardest. I was super drugged up (morphine and oxycodone), and don't think I would have even known what a cig. was, LOL. I think that is the main thing that helped me quit.
  • Welcome to the board Jamie. Sounds like we have the exact same goals for weight loss.

Glad to hear you're here & have quit smoking! That's a hard thing to do in itself. Congrats on that!
