Hello Everyone.
I'm Caitlin and [obviously] I'm new.
I'm looking for support for my weight loss, because I can't do it alone, and I refuse to go to meetings in my town.
I've been heavy all my life, but now I've hit rock bottom. At 325 I might have no health problems and I have all the engery in the world, but I realize it won't be like that forever. I'm tired of my father scrutinizing me because of my weight, and I'm ready to finally face facts & do what it takes.
I recently struggled finding something nice to wear because of my size [I wear a 22] I broke down in tears in the dressing room because of this.
I hope I can make friends who will help me, and in return let me help them.
-Caitlin.
Caitlin,
Hi, welcome to this site. I have been here since the week of Thanksgiving when I decided 2006 was my year for a change. I decided I wanted a head start before the holidays and I am so glad I did. I have lost roughly 12 lbs. so far. I started out w/ quite a large group of chatters and now am down to one who checks in w/ me weekly. I am looking for someone who may want to post on this site about once a day (when time allows). I found it very helpful to check in daily w/ what I ate or what I did for excercise, it kept me very motivated and most importantly, accountable. So I decided to look for another new pal.
A little about myself, I am 35, married, and no kids. I work outside of the home as a hairstylist/salon manager. I have struggled w/ my weight most of my adult life. And at one time, after a divorce, I lost 70 lbs. I got down to a size 12 (right now I am about an 18/20) and that is where I would like to be again. I know it's possible and will keep trudging on till I do it again. Basically my excercise consists of walking, either outdoor or indoors w/ Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds tapes.
My weightloss has been kinda slow so far but w/ summer upon us I am ready to kickstart it. Hopefully you are to, so I will wait to hear back from you. Hope you have a wonderful day.
MJ
Hi Caitlin,
Set a goal and keep going forward. If you feel you had a bad day, pick yourself up, and keep going. Exercise more and eat less is what I try to do daily. It's not easy but it is worth it in getting healthier.
Welcome Caitlin, and Congratulations on getting started. Let everyone here know how they can be of help.
