NSV achieved!

  • I made the decision, after arguing with my evil twin, that I am GOING to re-join Curves today and THAT IS THAT.

And I almost backed out but as I was nearing the facility said #### it, I am tired of being fat, I'm going to exercise! So I did it! And it felt so good and reminded me of why I like working out. I look forward to my next workout!

  • Isn't it amazing how we forget that we like working out sometimes? I truly enjoy my workouts, but know there have been periods in my life where I've let it go for various reasons. Part of my lifestyle changes I'm trying to make is to NEVER let exercise slide away. It makes me feel so much better in everything I do. I'm glad you got your membership renewed and hope your wonderful feeling soon becomes a habit you look forward to everyday!
  • Exactly! I had an interesting NSV of this type too! Yesterday I was out walking on my lunch hour and went into a store (LOL have to do that now with all the water I am drinking!!) and was bopping along and a woman coming my way got a huge smile and said hi! I realized it was because I had a great big smile on my face and she thought I was smiling at her! Then later when out walking I kept catching myself glowing and with a great big smile because I was enjoying it so much! Yippeee
  • Good for you!! I'm glad the good twin won the arguement!!! I love going to the gym. Or at least, i love the feeling of a good job done. Excersizing has been the best thing i have done for myself. and you'll be so glad you are following thru with it too.
  • Good for you! I still hate exercise but I love the feeling of accomplishment I get when I do it consistently and mindfully. That's why I stick with it, myself. I'm accountable for it and I can think of it as a job well done, even if I don't like doing it. Keep up the good work!

  • That's great! I've been going to Curves for four years. I just keep reminding myself, it's only 30 seconds on each station and it's only for a half an hour. My Curves has a mother-daughter plan where my daughter can go for an extra ten bucks a month so now I bring her along. Some days, she bops in the door after school and says are you ready to go exercise? So it's getting her into a good habit. Hopefully one that will last.

I have a question. Just what the heck does NSV mean? I keep seeing it in the successes, so I know it's a good thing, but I have no clue as to what it means...
  • a non-scale victory.
  • oh I like that!
