I'm packed, I have notes for Donald's cousins and his aids, his meds are prepared, and there's enough food in the fridge for a month instead of a day.

We're staying at a hotel near the airport - couldn't get anything in the city for less than $300/night! We're going to dinner and a play tonight & to the Art Museum tomorrow. I'm excited and nervous. But, I'll be only 30 minutes from home & they have my cell phone number.

Donald's brother has by-pass surgery today. Please cross your fingers/say a prayer/send out good vibes to the universe for him.

As for us, not much planned for the day. Another great day temperature wise. High 75. Not hot but not cold! Perfect!! I have decided to pull Keilyn from her preschool program, I will post the story why later. Its a safety issue. I put Steven back on the school bus today, first time in 2 weeks since him being busted. I put him back because i know the guy who he was doing it with has been suspended off the bus so he won't be around.

I do have some news though, I have made a decision about my life.......

Laurie, great for you! Making changes in our lives is very important sometimes and is a big step.

As for myself, today, I'm going to the sugar bush with my daughter's school. Parents have been invited, so I'll be joining her there. I will stay away from the sugar bush's sweet goodies and be a good girl! I will try at the very least. No, I will stay away from it. No more trying, just doing it. Time to change my way of thinking and prepare in advance. I have to leave now, so I didn't get a chance to read all the posts, but will check it later.

What is a "sugar bash"??? Sounds fattening to me....be good.

We may a exchange a car today. We own a Buick Lasabre 2003 with 30,000 miles on it and a Ford Explorer 2005(not paid off). So we are going to trade both cars in as we don't need two cars anymore and get a better Buick. We found one with only 15,000 miles on it - a Park Ave. with all the extra fancy things.

Now remember we are older and like that big car ride, we have been thru the sports car phase in our lives (had two of those), this one will be great for the trips we are planning and good on gas, feels like you are sitting in you living room chairs.

Now that is the PLAN....my dh tends to change his mind a lot so we will see.

Haven't been to the gym yet this week (doing too much car shopping) so I will do my walking DVD today before we go....I can feel I need to get back in the routine.

Not much here today. No sun, but still supposed to be 60. Waiting to hear about DM - the nurse left a note yesterday that she had said her Good-bye's. Think that might mean she is closer than we might think? SO hard to tell with her.

Plan to stay OP today. Ate a grilled hamburger and fries at DF's last night, so need to be a little better today. Talk to you all later.

After reading all the posts about the WATP dvds I bought one last night...hopefully it will get me in gear...will see...

A sugar bush is a place where maple syrup is retrieved from the maple trees and transformed. I'm not sure how they make it, but they pour the syrup over snow, and it makes some kind of very sticky maple goodie. Very good! I intended not to have one, but when I saw a tiny one, I decided to take it. So I'm not worried at all. It wasn't even 1TBSP I think.
