  • Morning everyone! How are we all doing?? Any special plans today?? I am taking the kids to see Ice Age 2 today around 1 with another friend so I am exacited about that! We have some yard work to do when we get home but thats about it.

We are mid week right now, so how is everyone feeling about the upcoming WI?? I am still having trouble pushing my water, I think I need to flavor it up or something and get myself off this diet coke/pepsi addiction I have! UGH!

Well I am off to jump in the shower. Hope everyone has a great day!
  • Not too much going on here today....Ate too much last night as we went out to eat and had wine....I'll try to work it off today. I am bloated up!!

Have to stick around here today because the Terminix people are checking all the condos so I will do my walking DVD but only 1/2 mile this time and build up to the mile this week.

Had my first lesson in playing MahJong yesterday.....I'm so confussed. So many rules. Some of it sank in but boy I have a lot to learn but I had fun.

Make it a good OP day ladies.

  • Good Morning, Everyone,

Tomorrow is the day I go away (just for overnight) and I am VERY nervous. I'm afraid I'm not going to be ready - I won't have all the information ready for the caretakers, I won't have all my stuff packed, I'll forget something.

This is like sending your child to kindergarten - more stress for you than for the child. I'm having separation anxiety & I know it (informed neurosis), but I'm still having it.

OK - I'm off to start my preparations - I'll check back later.

  • Lynn make yo ua list everything you need to do, need to get, need to pack and mark it off as you go!
  • Good morning everyone

Today is my work from home day. The advantage of being a computer programmer. I work from home every wednesday. I like it very much. Gives me time to do my laundry.

I'm still OP and keeping up with the April challenge. I've been doing good in the last few days. I haven't been screaming at my kids either. The sticker program is working well. My daughter is sitting on the potty more. My other daughter is behaving better. Although this morning, she had a fit. But it wasn't a bad one. I'm hoping this will show her that she has to work hard to get her stickers. But generally, it's working really well. Her bedroom is always tidy so I'm quite happy.

Still a bit cold today. Another day of winter coats. Tomorrow will be nicer, so we'll be able to take out our spring jackets out again. Doing a 20 Celcius day on friday and then a 2 or 3 the following week is not fun! But it's okay. Spring is here, and it's getting warmer.

    Have a nice day ladies!
  • Sunny day in MN
Supposed to be 60 again today. It is always so great when spring arrives after our dreary MN winters! It is the perfect time to get going on improving yourself - time to take of the layers of fleece we wrap ourselves in all winter!

DD called me on the hush=hush last night to tell me that she and her BF bought her diamond yesterday. It will be getting sized for 2 weeks, so she wasn't supposed to tell - but she was busting to tell someone. Now I have to keep the secret! Probably a wedding next spring - another incentive to keep this program going!

Good luck to everyone - enjoy your mini-vacation Lynn. I DO know how stessful that caregiver job can be.

  • Well I had a dr appt. today. I have a cyst on the top of my head that is infected. The infection has spread through a good portion of the top of my head. Good thing I went to the dr. when I did or I could have been in some serious trouble. I have a high tolerence for pain and do not usually go for so many things, I just figure they will clear up with a little attention. I am allergic to so many antibiotics I hope this one works and doesn't cause any severe reactions. I am glad I went.
  • Beautiful day in Tennessee!
    Hello all!

Today it is sunny and warm. I am going to get out of the office at lunch and walk around campus. I have been doing well staying within my points range and working on drinking enough water. Today for the first time in ages I passed by the donuts. I really really wanted one but then thought about how I would feel after I ate one and I wasn't even hungry to begin with. Now I do not have the guilt to deal with the rest of the day. I hope everyone is having a great day!
  • Hi everyone!

Looks like the boards are more active lately! Great!!

Marsha -- it is great to have you back!

Everyone seems to be doing well! I am op so far! I missed my workout yesterday but I will do it today!

It is rainey and dreary here...

    Have a great day!
  • Way to go Ronda. Passing those donuts like that when we want one isn't always easy. Looks to me like you've won that battle today.
  • Tammy,

I'm so sorry to hear about your head. I know what you mean about the antibiotics - I hate to have to take them. However, this sounds serious. Maybe the doctor can give you something to take to counteract the affects of the meds - I've done that if I REALLY need to take them.

    Take care of yourself,

    Lynn
  • Thanks Lynn. She gave me something that I have never taken before so hopefully(fingers crossed) I'll have no real reaction to it other than getting better of course.
  • Hi ladies! I'm getting on a plane in the morning and flying most of the day from Colorado to Maryland. I'll be back on Tuesday. I don't know how much I will be able to log in while I'm there, so if I'm not around, don't worry.
  • Susan have a wonderful time. I will miss you.
