Yo-Yo Dieter and Sick of It

  • Hi, I am joining this forum because I feel like I have no other options. My weight has been up and down since I turned 30 (I am 42 now). I am no stranger to hard workouts, but then something happens . . . I lose no weight OR I'll lose it (i've gone all the way down to a size 4) and then it seems almost overnight the weight creeps back!

I am now 155 lbs (again!). I've joined the gym and have been going for about 4 weeks now, 5 days a week, working out for 2 hours a day. I see no progress. Now. . I've gotten sick (a cold or something and feel like crap). I haven't been to the gym in 2 days (guilty feelings). What is wrong with me? I was on a roll!

Anyway, don't want to sound like a nutcase, but I am completely frustrated. Is anyone out there feeling like me?

    I need a buddy.

  • Hey I am always up for having buddies!! What are you doing nutrition wise? Maybe try to reduce carb intake and boost your protien for the healthy development of lean muscle. also Drink only water for awhile no sugury empty cal drinks. That can really stop weight loss. and it really took me a month to see any results. But you can do this. private message me if you need anything and the ladies here are very helpful and have great ideas and suggestions! just ask!
  • Thanks
Thanks for your help. Yes, I do love carbs. I will try to cut down. Someone also told me if you eat carbs, eat them only with veggies. If you eat meat, eat the meat with veggies only also. Never mix meat with carbs. I will cut down on the sugary drinks, too.
