I didn't go to my meeting

  • It is my TOM and I just couldn't get up the energy to go. Besides, I know I am retaining water and I just didn't want to see a gain on the scale tonight. Does anyone else do this? I mean stay home when they know that they have gained? I'm a big chicken! It was a our special night last night too. But I felt icky, not too special. We don't have a queen this year, but we will next year; ME!

    cheers, cj
  • Been there, done that I've skipped meetings for less solid reasons--at least PMS bloat is legitimate! I have skipped simply because I ate more on weigh-in day than usual, so I knew the scale would be up. I am queen of excuses. It's just that I get so down about seeing a gain even if I KNOW it's not a "real" gain (water weight or whatever) because it's just annoying that not EVERYONE there knows that it's not a real gain, I guess. It's frustrating when to have to explain why the scale is up--I always feel like everyone thinks I'm just making up excuses, so instead of mkaing excuses for my weight, I make excuses to not go to the meeting at all

I actually haven't been to my past 3 meetings in a row, but I am DETERMINED to go back this week, even if the scale says I am up 10 pounds (which it shouldn't be that high, but you get the idea).
  • Have you been reading my diary? LOL That is how I feel too. I'd just rather stay home than have to deal with everything that goes along with a gain. But next week I will see a big loss I am sure. I have been such a good girl all month! I hope you see a loss soon too.
  • Hi Girls, I am the leader, so I cant skip... sure do want to sometimes.. cant claim pms but sure get water retention just the same.... Good luck next week.. Barb
