New on the forum, need a buddy!

  • Hi all!
    I just joined up for support and ideas and motivation. I live in Las Vegas, so if there's anyone looking for a work out friend in Vegas or just someone to help them and who wants to help me, I'm ready to go!
    I need to loose at least 20 pounds just to get back to my pre-quitting smoking weight, but I'd like to get to 135-140 by July. It can be done!!!

  • Unfortunatly I don't live near you but, across the country butI sure will help out online!! private message me anytime I will help in any way! I find that the more people I communicate with here reg. I tend to stay on track! It helps to know someone is in the "melting pot" with you! so if you are up for it let's melt together! This is how I got started on my loss on feb 27th 2006. I totally cut out ALL soda!! which was really hard and kinda sad but, like after a week I found that I really did'nt miss it and any sip I might of had in an attempt to cheat was really gross. I also never ate b-fast. I do now as soon as I get out of bed w/ my kids. for lunch I normally will eat a salad loaded w/ fresh veggies and some Tuna. dinner Meat no bigger than the size of my palm and veggies I have tried to cut out most carbs. snacks I will have alot of apples and no and then a protien shake. I have joined my local community center and go 5-6 days a week I get in an hour of cardio and a good 30 min to 45 min of weight training, as weight training will really burn alot of fat! I love the gym now if you were to ask me 2 months ago about working out I would have laughed! I never thought for a minute that I would enjoy it!! I also started at 170 lbs. so our goals and starting weight are very similar! so I hope this helps! so I will be your long distance buddy if you want. talk soon, amy
