help! I have the flu

  • Hello everyone,
    I was just wondering if anyone can help. I haven't eaten anything but english muffins for the past 2 days! I am finally starting to feel better and think I can handle "real" food, but am a little scared to eat still. Does anyone have any Ideas? I would appreciate it.

  • Sorry you've been feeling ill. Main thing would be to start slow eating foods.. take a few bites, see how they sit. Things like nuts are hard to digest so I'd wait to try those until you see how other things are tolerated. Keep spices and sauces mild to start.
  • I had the stomach flu last week also and it was AWFUL! I didn't get to go to the gym the whole last half of the week. When I felt myself starting to get hungry again, I was like you, afraid to eat. I started with a cup of chicken broth, then a piece of toast. After that it was all good, and by Monday I was ready to work out again. Just take it slowly a little at a time until your back to normal.
  • Hot tea, toast and chicken broth. That's what I ate when I had the flu 2 weeks ago.
