First NSV in a LONG time!

  • I only ate 1/2 of a cookie!

We had family over for dinner last night and for dessert I made 40 cookies yesterday (the break-and-bake kind) - snickerdoodles and chocolate chip.

I only ate 1/2 of one cookie. Three weeks ago when we made cookies at my sister's house I ate like 6 of them (and 2 before baking!!)

Definitely a step back in the right direction!!
  • Well done!! Making sensible choices is half the battle. Yesterday I managed to talk myself out of going into town to buy polish sausage and full fat cheese (my fave snack), instead I sat down to a baked salmon, broccoli and sweet potato dinner.

    Congrats to you .
  • Way to Go!!!! (Glad I'm not the only one who has succumbed to the raw cookie dough craving before!) Good job on exercising control!
  • awesome!! yesterday I stopped at 5 twizzlers! that's just huge!
  • That's awesome!!!I still want to eat them all!!!

Oh, believe me, girl - I definitely wanted to eat them all! lol
  • I think one of the greatest relevations is realizing you *can* eat just one! Or, in your case, just half of one!!! Fantastic!

Pffft, I've been known to polish off half a tube of raw cookie dough in one sitting. Would have finished the whole tube, but it was only polite to share with the roommate! Yeah baby, we got along great! Hehe those were good times!
  • Thats great control! My biggest problem is the smell of them baking. I can resist the raw stuff (crazy fear or raw eggs & stuff eventhough its pasterized), in fact I just had to throw some away that had been in my fridge for like 2 months. But once I smell them baking it is way harder to resist.
BTW, I love the wedding picture avatar. That is such a pretty pose.
  • Wow, that's fantastic! It's sooooo hard to stop... you did great!

  • That's fantastic!!! Great self control, which IS what this is all about! I am soooooooooooooooooooooo proud of you!!!!
  • Great job, Emily! You wanted it, you tasted it, and you knew you didn't need more.
