WELCOME !!!
We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.
We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.
Motivational Monday
Tuesday Tips
Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it.
Thankful Thursday
FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight.
Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity
Share your Success Sunday
These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.
We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.
We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.
WELCOME!
I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.
There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!!

Glad you decided to come out of "lurk mode", and join us!!! Hope to get to know you better in the coming weeks!
You said you had your gift from your hubby, but you didn't mention what it was. Is it a secret
Seriously I am glad that you are happy to be finishing there and starting the new job. I hope you will be really happy there and that you also enjoy not having the 'reason' for not being 100% OP.

the stories that my Aunts, Uncles and My Dad tell about the olden days. MY Grandma passed away a couple of years ago at age 102 and she saw it all from no such thing as cars to cars and tv's etc. The kind of Indian we are were nomads that traveld and lived off the land. The stories they tell are wonderful. If they can just make it up here it would be nice. It isn't until June though.
trip!
cab or a bus except for a school bus!
to pamper yourself with this weekend when you have the time.
active, you stay young! My Dad is going to be 71 and I swear you couldn't tell by how he looks or acts! He rides his horses, works hard on the ranch, every October he rides his horses up into the mountains and hunts just like he has always done! Just stay active.
Now, I am really considering it.
are too big! You go girl.
I hope all goes well with your blood work, and that they figure out something!!!
Here's to hoping!!! You're getting close to that -30 mark! Woot!

! But at least now I know who to attribute the quote to. Jacob Marley, not Bob, right
? Oh, and that thing you posted about God and Satan was pretty funny! I especially liked the end part about Satan creating HMOs!
on the size 20s, BTW!!
You are kicking butt!
! On the union thing--I really dont know what place unions really can play in today's workforce. Like you say, I know why they were started, but with all the labor laws in force employers have to treat thier employees fairly and equitably by law. They dont need a union to force them to, the law is enough! We tried to get our union out last year but, even though everyone complains about it, the majority voted to keep it! So we really wasted our time. Plus, we had a crappy lawyer throwing gas on the flames and it was just a huge mess. Politics, politics, politics--that's all I can see that today's unions are about.
. But, alas, I must stick it out for a little while longer. I am feeling a little better, thanks for all your well-wishes
As for Barry Manilow, I dont know much about him. But I love Neil Diamond and I know people always make fun of him, too, so I'm right there w/ya!
! So, say you dont go one week. The next week you go back they would charge you $22; $11 for the current week and $11 for the week you missed. Someone on another thread said if you miss a few meetings it is just cheaper to wait for your membership to lapse (it lapses after 4 weeks) and just pay the $15 registration fee to re-sign back up. Kinda crazy, huh
?
!! I am all out of freshies and have been eating cereal and string cheese for the past 2 days. I like cereal, but come ON!
